Anna Leyerer is an award-winning pianist who receives acclaim particularly for her exceptional interpretation of the romantic piano repertoire and is also an avid performer of contemporary music.

Anna Leyerer is a laureate of numerous international piano competitions, most notably Parnassós International Piano Competition 2018 (1st and Audience Prize), Kyiv International Piano Competition 2019 (1st Prize), Lyon International Piano Competition 2021 (2nd Prize), International Piano Competition NEUE STERNE 2022 (2nd Prize) and International Piano Competition Francesco Paolo Neglia 2022 (1st Prize).

She regularly performs at music festivals and concert halls all over the word. As a soloist and member of chamber music ensembles Anna has performed at venues in Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Ukraine and the United States, where she debuted with a recital at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) in New York in 2015. She also has performed as soloist with various orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine (cond. Wolodymyr Sirenko), the Moscow Radio & Television Symphony Orchestra (cond. Alexander Ivanov), the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra Wernigerode (cond. Christian Fitzner), the Monterrey Symphony Orchestra (cond. Franz Krager), the Volgograd Academic Symphony Orchestra (cond. Eduard Serov), the Krasnodar State Symphony Orchestra (cond. Vladimir Ponkin), the Symphony Orchestra of the Crimean Philharmonic (cond. Igor Kazhdan), the Vratsa Symphony Orchestra (cond. Ivan Iliev) and the Shumen Symphony Orchestra (cond. Ivan Iliev).

In addition to her performance career, Anna Leyerer is a dedicated pedagogue. She teaches piano in Vienna and Upper Austria. Anna also conducts piano masterclasses for the Golden Key Music Festival in Vienna and serves as a jury member for international piano competitions, including the WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, the International Performing Arts Competition in Moscow, and the International Youth Talent Musician Competition in Hong Kong.

Born in the rural city of Penza, Russia, Anna began her early piano- and music education at the local music school and the Penza Music College under the guidance of Gennady Grossman. Subsequently, she studied with Prof. Lev Shugom at the Saratov State Conservatory and completed her graduate degree in 2012. Following a brief tenure as a lecturer at the Saratov State Conservatory, she moved to Austria to continue her piano studies with Prof. Oleg Marshev at the Anton-Bruckner-University in Linz, graduating with distinction in 2016. Recently, Anna completed her postgraduate studies at the Music Academy 'Neue Sterne' in Hanover, under the guidance of pianist and teacher Albert Mamriev. Her artistic development was significantly influenced by Prof. Michael Korstick, under whose guidance she earned her Master of Arts diploma in music education in 2019 at the Anton-Bruckner-University. Since then, she has continued to work with Prof. Korstick on refining her piano playing. Anna also had the privilege of participating in masterclasses with notable musicians such as Christopher Hinterhuber, Ewa Kupiec, William Grant Naboré, Nikolai Petrov, Stanislav Pochekin, Natalia Trull and Michael Voskresensky.

Since her first victory at the International Young Pianists Piano Competition in Gelendzhik (Russia) 1998 at the age of 8, Anna Leyerer has garnered awards and honors from many important piano competitions throughout the world. Her latest achievement is the 1st Prize and Audience Prize at the MANSH International Piano Competition 2023 in Pretoria, South Africa. Anna Leyerer ist eine vielfach ausgezeichnete Pianistin, die besonders für ihre herausragende Interpretation des romantischen Klavierrepertoires gefeiert wird und zudem eine begeisterte Interpretin zeitgenössischer Musik ist.

Anna Leyerer ist Preisträgerin zahlreicher internationaler Klavierwettbewerbe, darunter u.a. Parnassós International Piano Competition 2018 (1. Sie ist regelmäßig bei Musikfestivals und in Konzerthäusern auf der ganzen Welt zu hören. Als Solistin und Ensemblemitglied ist Anna auf Bühnen in Aserbaidschan, Armenien, Deutschland, Frankreich, Italien, Japan, Kroatien, Mexiko, Österreich, Polen, Portugal, Russland, der Tschechischen Republik, Spanien, der Ukraine und den Vereinigten Staaten aufgetreten, wo sie 2015 mit einem Rezital in der Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) in New York im debütierte. Zusätzlich zu ihrer Konzertkarriere ist Anna Leyerer eine engagierte Pädagogin. Sie unterrichtet Klavier in Wien und Oberösterreich. Darüber hinaus leitet sie Klaviermeisterkurse für das Golden Key Music Festival in Wien und ist Jurymitglied bei internationalen Klavierwettbewerben, darunter u.a. WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, International Performing Arts Competition in Moskau und der International Youth Talent Musician Competition in Hongkong.

Geboren in der Stadt Penza, Russland, begann sie ihre frühkindliche Klavier- und Musikausbildung an der örtlichen Musikschule und dem Penza Music College unter der Anleitung von Gennady Grossman. Kürzlich schloss Anna den postgradualen Lehrgang an der Music Academy 'Neue Sterne' in Hannover unter der Anleitung des Pianisten und Lehrers Albert Mamriev ab. Ihre künstlerische Entwicklung wurde maßgeblich von Prof. Michael Korstick beeinflusst, unter dem sie 2019 an der Anton-Bruckner-Universität ihren Master of Arts in Instrumental- und Gesangspädagogik absolvierte. Seitdem arbeitet sie weiterhin mit Prof. Korstick an der Verfeinerung ihres Klavierspiels. Künstlerische Impulse bekam Anna Leyerer außerdem in Meisterkursen von namhaften Musiker:innen wie Christopher Hinterhuber, Ewa Kupiec, William Grant Naboré, Nikolai Petrov, Stanislav Pochekin, Natalia Trull und Michael Voskresensky.

Seit ihrem ersten Sieg beim 'International Young Pianists Piano Competition' in Gelendzhik in Gelendzhik (Russland) im Jahr 1998 im Alter von 8 Jahren, hat Anna Leyerer Auszeichnungen und Preise von vielen bedeutenden internationalen Klavierwettbewerben erhalten. Ihre neueste Errungenschaft ist der 1. Preis und der Publikumspreis beim MANSH International Piano Competition 2023 in Pretoria, Südafrika.
